This type of content keeps we, WordPress users motivated and happy. I noticed some of these big players use it only for their blog section or newsroom while few used it for their main sites.
The fact is, some of these big companies have been existing before WordPress and have already developed their website, or we can say, WordPress was still in easily stage of low acquisition when these companies started, many of other companies would have also leveraged on the power of WordPress. thanks.
